Production report application runs fine on xp but going to a loop on vista. Clarion works with vista. What is missing?

Hi,
I recently had some problems with my reportWriter (fomin) taking 8 to 10 minutes just making an Invoice under Vista ...
BUT it was not a Vista problem but AVAST Antivirus, user removed AVAST and installed an other Antivirus sw problem solved (recomend AVG - Grisoft, Norton etc.)
